Validation of Rural Horizontal approach – We recently organized a farmer visit for a prospective client for contract farming in the village. We visited one of the farms connected to us for rural tourism where we had been hosting some international and national tourists. The visit somewhat validates the Sahaj approach of considering rural India as a single horizontal. The multiple business verticals (Agri, Tourism & education) are just the means for a sustainable development for a family.
For an efficient utilization of human resources in rural areas, there are two approaches
1. Deploy them to cover more and more clients / people – E.g. microfinance sector
2. Deploy them with fewer number of people, but across multiple business activities can be better utilized
